Sorry if this is a st00pid  question, but how do I know where the unoccupied homestead parcels are? I checked the board in Zaius Plaza and it said that parcels were available in (among others) Celt. So I tp'd to Celt, but although I had property lines and landowners on, they they don't apparently work in OS Grid. The owner's name was clearly that of the guy who owns the whole sim. I could see that people had staked their claim by the prims, but not sure how large an area they had laid claim to, except where they had put down a base to cover their entire area.

I can't wait to start building my own little home.

I too am trying to find a place to set up my builds and try new things on OSGrid - and the whole homesteading thing as me confused too. I don't know what is available land in any of the locations I've gone to (Celt, SeaPrior et al) and I'm loath to tart dumping prims on other people's turf. I'm gonna check out the IRC chat and see if I can get some help - if I find out anything useful I'll be sure to post it here.

Cheers.

I am going to apologise now, in advance, because I am still an OSgrid newbie really so most of my questions are going to probably drive you nuts.

I am not really in a position to host my own region here yet (I did create my account a while back hoping to but I think it is too much for me to handle at the moment, I'm taking baby steps) but I would like a spot of land in order to build a nice public place, which is a bit social really, I have heard of homesteading but yesterday when I was logged on to the grid I couldn't figure out the best way to go about it (I was multi tasking at the time admittedly and crashing a lot). Please can some kind person help get me started? I am not normally so clueless on these things but my brain seems to have shrunk to the size of a pea these days!

I am a competent builder, probably not on the same level of expertise as most of those that use the grid but I like to think I can add something positive to the grid, hopefully :-)

Hey guys, I have a sim that i'm working on... It's to be a homestead sim... no commercial, just residential... I'm working out the details with how it's going to be done, but if anyone is interested, let me know in world @ Will Boudreaux...

Or you can do a search for Delirium City, and DC Homestead...

Thanks!

Im building on a tower to be filled with residents, therefore i need a sim, cuz i dont have place on mine anymore, anyone interested to place a 200meter tower on their sim? Im not sure how much residents can fit in there, that depends on the layout of the floors, if one floor per resident its capable for around 20 residents, if you cut each floor in 4 pieces you can go with 80 residents. Just drop by: Region Virtual Wallet and i erect the strcture for you.

Hello from a n00b! I was wondering if OSGrid has any further plans on doing another Homesteading sim? I am new to OSGrid, but not the metaverse. I have been in SL for about 3.5 years and while I haven't dove into the scripting area, I am a fairly good builder of buildings and items.

I am by trade a Network Engineer and believe I will be setting up a server to house my own sim very soon.

Thanks!

I am looking for free homestead land for my school. We teach AD/HD and Dyslexic learners. I am working on my PhD in Instructional Design for online learning. Can I get more information on how to homestead and how much land I can have?
