Sorry if this has been discussed. It's more of a note to self if you will. It's amazing how we learn by trial and error. Don't worry though... the doctors say my avatar will be out of intensive care in a couple of weeks.

I have been experimenting with region crossing through a building on the sandboxes to see how buildings across sims works. I found out you can't walk from one region to another to a staircase or angled prim without passing through it like it is a phantom if it is on the edge of the region.

The solution is to build stairs a good 4m from the edge of the regions on both sides and make a flat landing that enters the other region at the desired height so the servers have time to "catch up" going back and forth for a smooth transition. Otherwise... you might want to place some "Slippery When Wet" warning signs at region crossings.

Only used the trick for someone with flat prims. its old trick

Have 2 flat prims. (maby works with stairs to) lets say 8 meters long.
put 1 prim on sim A, but make sure its going say 4 meters into the otehr sim.
do the same with sim B and put the prim 4 meters into sim A, since then it dont fall down.
Its possible the overhead into the other sim can be shorter or need to be longer.

But its very long time ago its used and since then still active for thats im.
