Keep the training material related in some way to OSGrid and OpenSIM or tools that you would use externally to opensim such as image editors and database tools etc... but ultimately the material presented benefits OpenSIM and OSGrid.

if your console shows "Region <Tel Ariel> #" then its a reasonable indication that you have a region running, it will have been preceded by "Startup Complete" which is the main indicator that the region has started.
Region <Tel Ariel> # is the region prompt which means the consol is sitting ready to perform commands upon that region "Tel Ariel" and all those commands shown by Bo's link can be acted upon that region.

You have made land, one region called Tel Ariel, (starting the simulator is all it takes to make land) Getting to your land is as simple as starting your viewer and logging into OSGrid and TPing to your region, upon arrival you will find it is a pimple, to make the land usable just type ... terrain fill 25 ... and hit enter, the land will fill flat to 25 meters high.
Have fun and welcome to OSGrid,
Cam.
