The main grouping has expanded over the last few months ...

Devokan-Tao-Windring regions, November 2011

The main Devokan regions are to the northwest (Paislee and Dot). Story happenings mean that Deepwater has undergone a transformation. Pathways (WIP) is a newish mountainous area, ideal for hiking, with views round each corner.

South of these are Filbert's regions, including a hypergate region to the Windring grid. Riven fans may recognise the inspiration behind Gehnna.

Shenn's and Leah's Tao regions are in the east (of course!). Leah's are to the north (Eoliah Estate), and Shenn's to the south.

Look out for Leah's other-worldly villages and landscapes in the four-sim block north of Tao and Valombre. Note that the island chain of Jocasta is an early WIP.

Yugen is Shenn's vision of an alien civilisation -- you may recognise the buildings from one of the OSG4B exhibit.

Nalands too is continuing to develop; Nalates is experimenting with terrain and mesh. Her regions are to the west of the main group.

Search for builds elsewhere on the grid by Anarta and Colorado, and by Mat -- all keen builders.

And all this reminds me that I need to make some more linking books for Devokan Tao ...

Over the past week or so I've been moving Paislee's, Shenn's and Leah's regions, trying to find an arrangement that will show them off to best advantage, as well as make sense for story.

Moonshadow is a new rural steampunk region by Paislee. Shenn's region Kamar has also been brought into the main area; use the teleport orbs to reach different areas.

Leah's regions can now be reached via Devokan Deepwater, through the western archway. It's lovely to see the village of Eoliah from the walkways of Devokan Deepwater.

It might not be immediately obvious how to reach all the places in these regions. For example, the pyramids on Nocturne have a dark history. Take care not to lose your footing on the tallest one, else...

I've finally got round to making new linking books for all the regions. There is still room for more books ...

Expanded Devokan Tao hub, 10 March 2012

Many of the new books have a generic watery-looking image on their linking panel. It would be good to replace that with an image that captures the essence of the region it links to.

So... if you enjoy taking photos in OSgrid, please see this as an invitation to contribute your skills!

Daniel Hoffman's Transgenia is a wonderfully alive region...

Transgenia is evolving... again! by vandekar

I'll be setting up a linking book in the Devokan Tao hub to Transgenia this weekend, having heard from Daniel/Vandekar via Flickr that I might.

If you're using the inworld map to find your way around the regions, note that Deepwater in the map just above has been renamed Deepwater Primordium, while Devokan Deepwater has gone back to just Deepwater. This should mean that anyone searching for "Devokan" will find the hub region straight away, and hopefully not get too confused.

In that post I mentioned being able to see Leah's Eoliah from Deepwater's walkways. This is the nighttime view.

View from Deepwater 18 March 2012

Deepwater and Waysmeet -- the two regions Quin, Paislee and I delighted to see when we first came to Restoration (OSgrid). In the distance are the (newer) hills of Pathways, the Tower of Memories with its banners screen-printed with images of the lost world of Devokan, and the viaduct and lab built to plans rescued from the original Selenitica before it was destroyed.

The following links chronicle our original journey from the old Devokan (in SL) to the new lands in Restoration:
The Devokan Story
Winter comes to Devokan -- 9 Nov 2009
The strange spheres -- 27 Nov 2009
Tracing the source -- 10 Dec 2009
The tree village -- 1 Jan 2010
The evacuation -- 10 Jan 2010
Farewell to Devokan -- 1 Feb 2010

One of the linking books in the expanded Devokan Tao hub will take you to mat mahogany's Pulse. I love the atmospherics here.

Yesterday evening, Paislee and I spent some time reminiscing. From the wooded grove on Starfyre, we looked across to Illusion - a region with distorted echoes of past events and places.

I love Tao and clearly after seeing your map I've barely scratched the surface of all this beauty!

I'm also a big fan of Transgenia too:)
