Ive been Beta testing the new Bright Canopy viewer in a browser and am very impressed. It currently uses Firestorm for opensim but they plan to make Siingularity and Diva's OnLook viewer available. I think if they get the pricing right and use Onlook it could be a winning combo and an ideal way to give new users their first look at OpenSim worlds......Stio https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvmmS2tDRwE

Havent tried it, but 0.013 $ a minute. Makes $ 6832.80 if you are alone on any region 24/7 for a year. Which boils down to +/- 560 $ a month. To visit a region you have to run/ rent as well.

( yeah i know nobody is online 24/7, but i don't see how these "pay per minute solutions" would attract new users that can get the same for free, with very little effort).

Great business model though....

i can see the need for a browser based viewer but i don't see a market for pay to use or pay per use. i can't even imagine who they think would use it. but then again, maybe it'd be easier and worth the price for big corps to deploy virtual meetings.

I agree it is a bit steep price-wise and pay as you go didnt go too well for Kitely but it is just so hard to get ppl to have a first look at VWs anything that makes that easier is good in my book.
