Ya beat me to it, Neb, I was going to suggest Buckethead myself :D

There is a not-so-well-known guitarist from another era. I sometimes wonder if BH was influenced by him, as the playing styles are similar and that is the late, great Roy Buchanan. I would like to nominate Roy if possible, Oddy:

Oh, and I paid a visit to the Museum this morning and took a few pics:

Oddy you going to have a dance party there sometime? Here's a quick video clip of me on your dance floor-- would be lot more fun with more dancers :)

Awesome pics Key!

And the dance stage is a work in progress:)

I am adding some decorative stuff to the museum now, a info desk, maybe some plants, couches and stuff. Mostly meshes, so if anyone wants to visit the museum, you might consider using a mesh-viewer to see the region completely (without strange balls and objects)

If anyone has suggestions about artists you would like to see in the Guitar Museum, leave a reply here, or drop a notecard in my mailbox in front of the museum.

Also, there is a script-shop, a freebie shop with old stuff I have created over the years, Odds Curiosities where you can find silly stuff, a shop with club equipment, and an art gallery by Lara Nguya.

*NEW* The MESH Factory: A new shop with meshes.*NEW*

So, open your in-world map, type the guitar museum in the search area, and give us a visit!
(free freebies for everyone!)

Glad to see JM up there - but what about his mates?
Al Dimeola, Paco de Lucia etc.
Then there's Pat Martino, Dave Davies ( from the Kinks ), Johnny Winter, Mick Ronson, Phil Manzanera (sp?), Mark Knopfler, that English jerky bloke - Wilko?, Edwyn Collins( listen to the solo on 'Girl Like You'), Richard Thompson, Ry Cooder, whoever played guitar on Midnight at the Oasis.....
There's so many - but I expect you have got most of 'em.
Good idea for a region ;)

Thanks for all those suggestions, xcentric, some of them are on my to-do list.

But first things first:
The museum is getting too small, only a couple spots left for artists (xcentric just filled them:) )
So I decided to fire up my building tools and make a new wing for the museum. No shift-drag to copy parts of the old museum this time, but I am making a whole new wing. It's so new that you need a MESH-compatible viewer to see it. (SL viewer 2/3, firestorm, etc. Older V1 viewers like hippo do not load mesh builds correctly)

I am still working on it, but here are some snapshots of how it looks right now:

A sneak peak from behind some containers. This is a raw snapshot, no photoshopping. Just some windlight settings, and Ultra high graphics on my viewer.

{L_IMAGE}
I think I'm gonna get rid of the windows, replace them with artists..Again; a raw snapshot, no photo editing here!

Another un-altered snapshot from inside.

As you can see, I am busy with the museum, but I am also busy with lots of other stuff: meshes, breed-able pets, (weird) content creation, finding useful scripts for OpenSim etc, and I have a RL too.
I love all the info you guys out there want to give me, I really like new suggestions for the guitar museum, but sometimes I just don't have time to do all the things I want to do in a very short time. Please have patience:)

Hello, a small update, mostly pics :)

I'm done with texturing the new wing:

And I started working on a small bar:

Remember: These are all mesh builds, so you need a mesh-compatible viewer to see things :)

Two new artist in the museum:
Ry Cooder - American guitarist, singer and composer. He is known for his slide guitar work, his interest in roots music from the United States, and, more recently, his collaborations with traditional musicians from many countries.....
Francesco Corbetta - (c. 1615 - 1681, in French also Francisque Corbette) was an Italian guitar virtuoso, teacher and composer. He spent his early career in Italy. He seems to have worked as a teacher in Bologna where the guitarist and composer Giovanni Battista Granata may have been one of his pupils.....

And a SLURL (or should I say HOP?) hop://login.osgrid.org/The%20Guitar%20Museum/96/120/28
(Hope this works!!)

And again some spam:
There are several shops, boutiques, galleries etc on The Guitar Museum Region: Art Curiousities by Lara Nguya, ScriptWorkz, Mesh Factory and Odds Curiousities by 'moi'. :)

Greetings, Odd

(I was hoping for "Your Last Affront", but it's not on youtube)
