The Guitar Museum.

Some of the best real life guitar players under one roof. (actually, not really the real life guitar players, but notecards with info, links to websites, etc..I tried to copy them, but RL artists are No Copy nowadays...go figure!)

{L_IMAGE}

Jeff Beck, Bo Diddley, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and many, many more of these artists can be found in this museum! Just click on the picture of your favourite artist and get some information about that artist.
Inside the museum you can find a postal drop-box where you can leave a notecard with suggestions, missing guitar players, etc.

Outside the museum you'll find a train that rides around the sim, and takes you to some other places I'm working on, like a Blues Bar and Club Bizarre.
{L_IMAGE}

This region is very young, very not complete, very "under construction", very...well...far from finished!
But I invite y'all to visit the Guitar Museum, and help me to make another cool place here on ye olde osgrid. Any substantial help is very much welcomed.

How to get there?
*easy way: search "guitar" on the In-World Map. Select "teleport".
*hard way: search "guitar" on the In-World Map and start walking.

Nice work!!

Thanks Walter.

A small update:

I have added some more guitar players in the Museum, like Elmore James, Magic Slim, George Harrison, and some more. Also, I've build a little roller coaster, just for the fun. (It actually works pretty decent, knowing that I'm a terrible scripter:) )

Here are some inworld snapshots:

Of course Robert Fripp is hanging in the museum, right next to Carlos Santana. :)

The Guitar Museum is moving!

Hello all,

I had a chance to get a new location a bit closer to the main landing point on OSGrid, Lbsa plaza, and I took that chance with both hands (Thanks Vixen and Tim!)
Once I had that location I could do two things:
-Load an oar and continued the old guitar museum region as it was, or
-Start building an even cooler place from the beginning.

I like to build, so I stacked a couple of prims on top of each other, threw in a couple of textures, and this is what that pile of prims, sculpties, scripts and textures looks like:

Some Eye Candy:

There are some things I wanna ask the community here:
Q1: I have some empty shops....Empty shops suck, so I'm looking for people who wanna share their stuff. If you wanna have a shop, contact me:)
(WARNING: Your stuff must be legally yours, free to copy (or buy for O$0), no flashy wall signs outside the shop (I wanna keep the way the sim looks now as it is), no laggy scripts (have lots of those myself).

Q2: I love live music! I know there is a huge live music scene in SL, do we have that here on OSGrid as well? If so, how do we going to promote that, are there sim owners looking for live musicians, or maybe live artists who are looking for a place to perform? Is there a way where we, as live music fans, can meet and have fun?

The old guitar museum region will shut down in a couple of days (somewhere Saturday September 17th), the new guitar museum can be found on the map by searching for "The Guitar Museum".

Friendly greetings,
Oddball Otoole

Hello all, a new update!

First about the guitar museum;

A couple of new guitar players, like Seasick Steve, Bert Jansch, and some others can be found in the museum.
Also, I have added a teleport system to the region so you can easily tp your way around the region. (But if you like a more scenic tour, just wait outside the museum for a car. Touch the seat to sit)
Just outside the entrance, you'll find a group inviter. Touch that and follow the instructions to join the guitar museum group. (also, you can find a LM giver thingy and a voter)

Another thing you'll find outside is a Postal box. Feel free to use it; Are you missing a guitar player in the museum? Write his or her name in a notecard and drop it in the postal box. Do you want a shop on the region? Drop a note in the box! Have a suggestion, tip, etc? use the postal box!

Next thing I want to write a bit about:

Club Equipment.
I have a little shop with club equipment. You can get a couple of basic stages, danceballs, turntables, lightning systems, and more there.

Odds Curiosities.
Odd stuff...Wooden mannequin avatar, huge face light, the above mentioned tp system, unholy big hair, transportation system, and more silly stuff..

Scriptworkz.
Scripts, scripts, and scripts....

You can use my telepad system to tp to the different shops:)

Hugs, Oddy
