Jeeper Shim {L_WROTE}:
Make sure "Include-osslEnable =" in opensim.ini is pointing to your osslEnable.ini file.

I wouldn't add any lines to the osslEnable.ini file what was installed when you installed opensim. It should be good to go.

If your not the estate manager or estate owner, you might want to add your uuid or ,PARCEL_OWNER (if your the parcel owner) to Allow_osSetSpeed =

I just checked and my OpenSim.ini is currently: Include-osslEnable = "config-include/osslDefaultEnable.ini". I will change that!

And I am hosting the sim, so I have all the ownership rights :)

dan banner {L_WROTE}:
try setting the actual function you are looking to enable...

Allow_osSetSpeed = true

If its for an NPC the uuid is usually random and therefore you'll need to use 'true' instead of the avatar uuid

and fwiw, I'd leave threat level at VeryLow

Hi Dan,

I put in Allow_osSetSpeed = true into my osslEnable.ini, however I am still getting the same issue :(

And will do, thank you!

hi, first, there have been changes to the structure of the ini files

{L_CODE}:
Include-osslEnable = "config-include/osslDefaultEnable.ini"

is correct!

The osslEnable.ini is called from the osslDefaultEnable.ini so don't go jacking up your OpenSim.ini re: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6508

second, if the script is running on an object attached to an NPC you'd need the NPC's uuid

but since they tend to be random

Allow_osSetSpeed = true in your osslEnable.ini will most likely be whats needed. (also make sure you're not editing osslEnable.ini.example)

You can verify this once you make your changes, restarted the simulator and then using the console command:

{L_CODE}:
config show OSSL

Hope this helps

Hi Dan, thanks for all that! That makes things much more simple now, I was searching up how to fix this issue and I was doing all this stuff but in the end the guides were just out-dated, didn't know how often those kinda things change, and that link was very helpful! Things are running super smooth now, thanks for the help! 8-)
