MySql configuration - probably, yes..

a broken library - hmm.. would not see an indicator for that

please add the rest of your config & setup as suggested..

including wich admin-stuff you use for mysql..

what you can do at that point:

try to connect to the mysql db using admin-tools using the creadentials you use for your opensim and create a table "test" in the db "opensim"...

cheers,
Ralf

In case anyone else has this issue, a workaround is to connect via a Unix socket instead of TCP socket. Therefore this will only work on Unix-like operating systems.

Find the socket name in /etc/mysql/my.cnf (or wherever your mysql configuration file is). It's usually something like /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock.

The data source will have to be changed to something like this:
"Data Source=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock;Database=opensim;User ID=opensim;Password=***;"

You will also need to copy or link /usr/lib/mono/2.0/Mono.Posix.dll into the opensim bin directory.
