 Post subject: Linux Mint?

New at Linux I hit the Opensim.exe it runs crashes says -Master ini file /home/trickeydickey/opensimdefalts.ini not found
using Linux Mint

/home/trickeydickey/opensimdefalts.ini is misspelled.

It should be opensimdefaults.ini

( This is the default configuration file for opensim, which loads "sane defaults". )
Do not make changes in there unless you know what you're doing.

Settings made in Opensim.ini will override those in opensimdefaults.ini

Only misspelled here not on my server I have not changed it
So any idea why it’s crashing

Ok I had open sim in a folder on my desk top and the path it was looking for was not this folder on my desk top I took all the files out of the folder dropped them in the home folder now it seems to work

Is there a way I can change it to look for the folder?

Opensim expects all files it needs, to be within it's /bin folder.
If on linux, you should start with: mono --desktop OpenSim.exe
