Keep the training material related in some way to OSGrid and OpenSIM or tools that you would use externally to opensim such as image editors and database tools etc... but ultimately the material presented benefits OpenSIM and OSGrid.

Class of 2016 starts Saturday 26th on Wright Plaza. This will be a weekly reoccurring event starting at 12.00, Classes will be given straight after the Saturday Q&A.
Data / information for each weeks class will be posted on the OSgrid Wiki.

NB : This 1st class is entry level, and assumes you know little to nothing about servers, networks & grids. If you are a sim host for 4 years already, you will likely have little use for this 1st course.
Classes will be given by OSG administrators and where required by subject matter experts in their respective fields.

Schedule (1 class per week) - mind we might shift things where deemed convenient :

- 1. Opensim / architecture / what is it? / terminology.
- 2. Pre-requisites and installing a region. (howto)
- 3. Troubleshooting installation failures / caveats / routers & firewalls.
- 4. Basic configuration (ini files).
- 5. Advanced configuration and tweaking (MySQL, OSSL etc.)
- 6. Maintenance / Backups / Logging / (IAR, OAR, Logs).
- 7. General Troubleshooting / monitoring.
- 8. Using Mantis Bug reports to your advantage.
