Keep the training material related in some way to OSGrid and OpenSIM or tools that you would use externally to opensim such as image editors and database tools etc... but ultimately the material presented benefits OpenSIM and OSGrid.

step 1
in your c drive make a folder named osgrid
go to osgrid.org and downloads...
and dowNload the latest version or a previous if you want

me i use the

Previous Version
Download: OSgrid OpenSimulator 0.8.3.dev.41b2855 - [31.9mb] 10-21-2015

once you download it open and extract it into the folder you made

then go to step 2

step 2
first go into your windows firewall and open ports
9000 to 9005 both udp and tcp for opensim

also in your router in the firewall open these ports as well
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
step 3
also check to see if your modem has nat loopback

if it does go to step 4

if not do the following
--------again only -only do this step if your router does not support nat loopback,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
install a windows loopback adapter
https://www.groovypost.com/howto/micros ... windows-7/

or How to install Microsoft Loopback Adapter on Windows 10

To install the microsoft loopback adapter on win 10 you must:
right click on window start menu icon and select Device manager.
Device manager window will immediately open
(or you may use any other way how to open device manager window)
click on Action, and select Add legacy hardware
click Next on welcome screen
choose "Install the hardware that i manually select from a list" and click on Next
scroll down and select Network adapters from offered common hardware types and click on Next
select Microsoft as the manufacturer, and then select Microsoft KM-TEST Loopback adapter card model, click on Next
click on Next
click on Finish

you then will want a host name from no-ip.com to use as your external ip if you have
a ip that changes constantly otherwise just use your external ip as is .and skip a hostname ,,
when you set up your sim it will ask for this info external ip or a hostname
and your internal private ip,, in the console

ALSO WHILE AT NO IP if you decide to use it ,,GRAB THIER DUC TOOL this will let u know if
your ip has changed so u can set it aagain in loopback at anytime this tells u what ip to put in the loopback adtaper
NOW BEFORE WE GO TO THE FOLDER AND TRY TO LOAD THE LAND

you then will want a host name from no-ip.com to use as your external ip
when you set up your sim it will ask for this info
ALSO WHILE AT NO IP GRAB THIER DUC TOOL this will let u know if
your ip has changed so u can set it aagain in loopback at anytime
-----------------------------------------

step 4
make sure u have network discovery on in networking and file sharing
make sure u have netframework also on your computer if not go download netframe work 4 or above from microsoft

you u will need to also get a uuid for the land at https://www.uuidgenerator.net/

and cordinates on the grid map for location of your land
http://quickmap.osgrid.org/
look on that map and pic blue area and write down the numbers u will
be asked for them once u open the folder to set up

ok go to the folder u made look for bin
open that and
click on opensim.exe
and let it load it will ask u to name your land
to put in a port
then it ask what your internal ip is most leave it at 0.0.0.0 but if not enter the number your router has assigned as your comps private ip
and your external will be the host name u made up or your system public ip addy
u can type ipconfig in the command prompt box and find your ip for your router or isp

or if using loopback adapter and host name like noip u would use your hostname

answer the rest of questions and if all goes right u will have land on the grid
just type the name in the map in world and teleport to it

you should land on a pimple shaped mound if you have done it right
now if you wish to flatten land type in the opensim console
this command ,,,terrain fill 21 and it will flatten it and you can now create a place all your own enjoy!!
