Are those changes already included in the latest release?
Or do we have to follow the other thread and make the changes ourselves?

The OSG download contains OpenSim.ini and GridCommon.ini files updated as per the changes announced. If you use their default settings you can just overwrite your existing files as usual. If you run MySQL as your database or have any custom settings in OpenSim.ini you'll need to determine the best way to merge your customizations into the new ini.

Okay, I need help here. I've been trying for 3 days to make this work and at this point I have no idea what else to do.
With the old version; osgrid.opensim-02182013.v0.7.6.2642129
I have no problems launching the region that is on OsGrid and my non HG Standalone.

With the latest version;osgrid-opensim-03022013.v0.7.6.e70c71a
I can launch the region that is on OsGrid, but cannot launch my non HG Standalone. I keep getting this error message;
{L_QUOTE}:
2013-03-07 22:01:11,882 ERROR - OpenSim.Framework.Servers.HttpServer.BaseHttpServer [BASE HTTP SERVER]: Error - Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted

2013-03-07 22:01:11,882 ERROR - OpenSim.Application [APPLICATION]:

I never had problems before. I can't even find the port 9000, 0 <--- what is that?

I've tried installing the latest version only with my OsRegion and let my Standalone work with the older version. I get the same message.

Thank you Kahn, but I knew all that. All my ports worked fine before and they all have the same numbers they had before.

When I asked;
{L_QUOTE}:

I meant what is that extra 0 after the ,
I never saw that before.

Kahn,
maybe this can be the problem described here:
viewtopic.php?p=21859#p21859

Are you sure it is not loading the region from Regions.ini.example ?

Hi Bo ...

Kahn is not the one with the problem, it's me and no, it's not loading from Regions.ini.example.

I know it is you who has the problem, Selea. I only wanted to be sure that there are no multiple region files.

If not, it can be just that http listener port issue mentioned by Kahn.

What is your http_listener_port defined in OpenSim.ini ?
{L_CODE}:
[Network]

    ;# {ConsoleUser} {} {User name for console account} {}
    ;; Configure the remote console user here. This will not actually be used
    ;; unless you use -console=rest at startup.
    ; ConsoleUser = "Test"
    ;# {ConsolePass} {} {Password for console account} {}
    ; ConsolePass = "secret"
    ;# {console_port} {} {Port for console connections} {} 0
    ; console_port = 0

    ;# {http_listener_port} {} {TCP Port for this simulator to listen on? (This must be unique to the simulator!)} {} 9000
    ;; Simulator HTTP port. This is not the region port, but the port the
    ;; entire simulator listens on. This port uses the TCP protocol, while
    ;; the region ports use UDP.
    ; http_listener_port = 9000

It is the last line. If is it commented out (like in my case) it is being set to the default value 9000.

Are you pretty sure:
-you have no multiple instances(running OpenSim.exe) set to the default value?
-you have the port open to public and forwarded properly?
-you have no region set to port 9000 under any instance?

This port(TCP traffic) could be under Windows shared safely(under some conditions) with a region port(UDP traffic) but most safe way is dedicate extra ports(numbers) either for region but also http_listener_ports

Bo

PS: this problem was already here in the past
