Greetings,

I'm new to OSGrid, but experienced in Second Life. I'm looking for anyone who's interested in granting me a sim to work/build on?

Eric.

It's not too hard to create your own sim here.

Maybe someone will give you a plot or sim on here. There are numerous sandbox's around. You can build on mine, it is up 24/7 (usually..LOL)

Indeed. Though, I'm not sure if my roommates would like for me to use the modem all for myself, I'm sure they want to use the internet too. And as far as your sandbox, usually is good enough for the most of the time. :P

A grid connected region hosted on your own network actually uses significantly less bandwidth then when your avatar is out on the grid on someone elses region.

There's a public sandbox with a 6 hour return in my sim, Empyrean. It's in the middle of the factory, on the metal grating over the oil sump. Look for the parcel to change to "Construction Grid" and you are there.

Since there also seems to be a lot of interest around (on several forum posts) I'll see about setting up a new region for newcomers to use, homestead, whatever until they can work out their own regions, or whatever :) I can't promise you perfect uptime, but I do try my best to keep the server up and running.
