[10:59] albertlr Landar: I have to carry someone back and forth to work, so got him to take that week off for vacation.
[10:59] albertlr Landar: Sunday should be no problem, as I take him early Sunday morning, so should be free the rest of the day.
[11:00] albertlr Landar: Also have to get my car service, just hit over 60,000 miles.
[11:00] albertlr Landar: That week is the only time the car people have open.

[11:03] Caro Fayray: i have some promised but they might not all deliver:)
[11:04] Caro Fayray: i have 38 so far
[11:04] albertlr Landar: https://www.facebook.com/groups/119228381495337/
[11:04] Ricky Fournier: I offered, showed it to you, and you never got back to me so I guess it's not good enough or something.
[11:04] albertlr Landar: And that people can see what you already have by going to region Echo 3
[11:04] Caro Fayray: oh ricky no
[11:05] Caro Fayray: i dont have the details
[11:05] Caro Fayray: will talk after meeting?
[11:06] albertlr Landar: But glad you are getting some good offerings this year.
[11:06] Caro Fayray: foxx did aussie show u his schedule to check if times are ok for u?
[11:06] Foxx Bode: yeah all good
[11:06] Caro Fayray: i have a picture gallery for the auction items at event plaza too
[11:06] Elmo Figaro is Online
[11:06] Caro Fayray: ok cool foxx
[11:06] Foxx Bode: i seen
[11:06] albertlr Landar: I got a copy from Foxx to make sure I would available also.
[11:07] Caro Fayray: great

[11:09] Caro Fayray: hi steevithak
[11:09] steevithak x: howdy everyone!
[11:09] Foxx Bode: -*- HeLlO-*-
[11:09] albertlr Landar: hello steevithak
[11:09] Lucy Afarensis: Hi
[11:09] albertlr Landar: welcome
[11:10] albertlr Landar: Well I see we have auctions on 25th, 26th and 27th.
[11:10] Caro Fayray: yes
[11:10] albertlr Landar: That looks like that might work better for those that have to work during the week.
[11:11] Caro Fayray: after or before performers
[11:11] Caro Fayray: yes the week ones not great
[11:11] albertlr Landar: and should help more with those in Europe and elsewhere.
[11:11] Caro Fayray: and if i get the post out early then ppl can actually plan ahead if they want to attend
[11:11] albertlr Landar: And not sure if it was mentioned but Dan told me the goal this year is $3,000
[11:12] Caro Fayray: is hard to get times that suit everyone:)
[11:12] albertlr Landar: yea, thats very difficult to do.
[11:12] Jeff Hall: for sure it is
[11:12] Caro Fayray: are there any other events planned to raise money?
[11:13] albertlr Landar: well I am sure that Aussie will schedule regular dances during the week too as in the past.
[11:13] albertlr Landar: and we can urge users to give during those times too.
[11:14] Caro Fayray: yes he has the djs and performers in that notecard too i think
[11:14] albertlr Landar: Have not talked with Wizard yet, but I am sure the Western Theme will be a success as others have in the past.
[11:14] Caro Fayray: yes...is why i tried to follow the theme
[11:15] Elmo Figaro is Offline
[11:15] Caro Fayray: wiz was investigating a game...something to do with jail
[11:15] Caro Fayray: ppl have to pay to free u
[11:15] Ricky Fournier: You should consider replacing all of the donation boxes with new ones. I don't know how long these have been out but it's possible they are getting "stale".
[11:15] Caro Fayray: but hes been busy rl so not sure
[11:16] albertlr Landar: well they are made for us by Kayaker.
[11:16] albertlr Landar: hum maybe the biggest bail gets them out.
[11:16] Caro Fayray: something like that
[11:16] albertlr Landar: or have to raise up to an amount.
[11:17] Caro Fayray: if i see him around ill ask if he looked into it
[11:18] albertlr Landar: well I see that MS has released over 129 patches for its software and operating systems this month.
[11:18] albertlr Landar: thehackernews.com/2020/09/patch-tuesday-september.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheHackersNews+%28The+Hackers+News+-+Cyber+Security+Blog%29&_m=3n.009a.2312.np0ao0bymg.1ge6
[11:19] Ricky Fournier: I swear my computer at work has been updating as much as I've been using it.
[11:19] Foxx Bode: 132 :)
[11:19] Caro Fayray: chinese:)
[11:19] albertlr Landar: oh they probably found more before they were finished.
[11:20] albertlr Landar: Well I am getting more and more phishing attempts in my emails.
[11:20] Caro Fayray: i get lots too
[11:20] albertlr Landar: Its really getting ridiculous.
[11:20] Elmo Figaro is Online
[11:20] Ricky Fournier: If I don't recognize a phone number on my personal phone I don't bother to answer any more
[11:20] albertlr Landar: I never click on any email link, if there is a problem I will log directly into a web site and check out problems.
[11:20] Jeff Hall: yes especially when u get told that an absolutely unknown account is suspended
[11:21] Caro Fayray: i dont
[11:21] Ricky Fournier: I have no choice at work, tho.
[11:21] Caro Fayray: if its important they'll leave a message
[11:21] albertlr Landar: I got one this week that thanked for a purchase of Lifelock and Norton for $359 and said if I did not buy that to call them.
[11:22] Ricky Fournier: I'm the only facilities person for 2 buildings full of labs, I have no choice there.
[11:22] albertlr Landar: I just replied to them, that I did not, and did not call that number.
[11:22] albertlr Landar: I suspect if I called they would then try to sell me something cheaper.
[11:22] Caro Fayray: prob yes
[11:23] Caro Fayray: or hacked your phone
[11:23] albertlr Landar: Better safe and sorry.
[11:23] Ricky Fournier: or offered a discount for blank discs
[11:23] albertlr Landar: yea
[11:24] albertlr Landar: I got me a copy of the keepas software to make me strong passwords.
[11:24] albertlr Landar: That has helped me a lot, I can't ever remember the passwords, so just copy and paste them.
[11:25] Lucy Afarensis: I use the UUID Generator
[11:25] albertlr Landar: that should work too.
[11:25] Jeff Hall: ive been using keepass since 15 years i think
[11:25] albertlr Landar: its the sites that always insist to have passwords in their own particular way that I hate.
[11:26] Jeff Hall: free, opensource and audited where u have all the control
[11:26] Foxx Bode: my password is all sevens, but i never tell anyone in what order....
[11:26] albertlr Landar: yea, that's the best.
[11:26] Caro Fayray: lol foxx
[11:26] albertlr Landar: now if we can just figure out how many
[11:27] albertlr Landar: hum 7 7's
[11:27] Caro Fayray: :)
[11:27] Jeff Hall: my keepass main one has 22;)
[11:27] albertlr Landar: sounds like something a President would do.
[11:27] Jeff Hall: so good luck
[11:28] Caro Fayray: is t here a limit to password length?
[11:28] albertlr Landar: some places do
[11:28] Caro Fayray: ok
[11:28] Jeff Hall: yes
[11:28] Jeff Hall: but for a main password vault u need a stron one
[11:28] Jeff Hall: because all other passwords are inside it
[11:29] Caro Fayray: i don't have any vaults
[11:29] Jeff Hall: if u evr think of having
[11:29] inanna beaumont is Online
[11:29] Jeff Hall: i wouldn't go without now
[11:29] Caro Fayray: i have a notebook:)
[11:29] Caro Fayray: pencil and paper
[11:29] albertlr Landar: I keep a password book next to my computer too.
[11:29] Jeff Hall: keepass is safer though
[11:30] albertlr Landar: but those don't always work either.
[11:30] albertlr Landar: I have been to site where my password I have written down do not work for some reason.
[11:30] albertlr Landar: That can get frustrating fast.
[11:30] Caro Fayray: i hate the ones where u cant see what you are writing
[11:31] albertlr Landar: they should not hide it from you, I agree.
[11:31] Caro Fayray: as someone who gets things back to front a lot i'm always having to redo passwords
[11:31] albertlr Landar: I just keep adding something on to the old one.
[11:31] Caro Fayray: i do taht too:)
[11:32] Jeff Hall: https://keepass.info/
[11:32] Caro Fayray: or changing capital letters
[11:32] albertlr Landar: there should be a term for that, password gloat.
[11:32] Caro Fayray: butthen i forget to make a note and forget i've changed
[11:32] Ricky Fournier: I have to run, getting a headache because I haven't really eaten yet today.
[11:32] Ricky Fournier: have fun
[11:32] albertlr Landar: Ok, go get food Ricky
[11:32] Caro Fayray: oh go eat ricky
[11:32] Jeff Hall: see u
[11:32] Foxx Bode: *-* ByE *-*
[11:32] Caro Fayray: and drink water
[11:32] Caro Fayray: bye bye
[11:32] Jeff Hall: bon appétit:)
[11:32] albertlr Landar: me and the dog eat afterwards.
[11:32] Lucy Afarensis: bye
[11:32] Caro Fayray: eat*
[11:33] Caro Fayray: ive eaten:)
[11:33] Lucy Afarensis: I haven't and this conversation is getting me hungry
[11:33] Caro Fayray: lol
[11:34] Lucy Afarensis: I will be on my way to the kitchen now
[11:34] albertlr Landar: snaks
[11:34] albertlr Landar: ok
[11:34] Lucy Afarensis: Indeed Bye all
[11:34] albertlr Landar: bye lucy
[11:34] Jeff Hall: bye Lucy
[11:34] Foxx Bode: *-* ByE *-*
[11:34] Caro Fayray: byebye lucy
[11:35] albertlr Landar: I am also always getting calls from Unavailable.
[11:35] albertlr Landar: grr.
[11:35] albertlr Landar: And they almost never leave messages, so I know they are not important.
[11:35] Caro Fayray: yes
[11:35] albertlr Landar: I thought the government was going to fix that problem.
[11:35] Caro Fayray: i don't even check incoming calls
[11:36] Caro Fayray: if its important they will leave message
[11:36] albertlr Landar: well my phone tells me who is calling.
[11:36] albertlr Landar: so I just ignore them.
[11:36] Caro Fayray: mine will say unknown number
[11:37] albertlr Landar: Well AT&T has a way that you can enter the numbers for up to 100 and they will block them from calling again.
[11:37] albertlr Landar: Problem is I have so many have no surpassed that amount.
[11:38] albertlr Landar: And all it is is a computer generating a false number that appears to be local so you will pick it up.
[11:38] Caro Fayray: but you can't get the numbers most times
[11:38] Caro Fayray: they are withheld
[11:38] albertlr Landar: on my always shows a number, its just not a legit number.
[11:38] Foxx Bode: there's apps like hiya and truecall that can filter
[11:38] Caro Fayray: ok
[11:39] albertlr Landar: yea, would use it but mine is a land line not cell phone.
[11:39] Caro Fayray: mine too
[11:39] Caro Fayray: i only use my cell for friends and family
[11:39] albertlr Landar: me too.
[11:39] albertlr Landar: and to verify things with my bank.
[11:40] Caro Fayray: yes
[11:40] Caro Fayray: and doctor dentist etc
[11:40] Jeff Hall: gps
[11:40] albertlr Landar: well my cell also connects to my car, so in case of an accident it would call 911.
[11:41] Caro Fayray: that's clever
[11:41] albertlr Landar: not sure how that all works, but Ford set it up.
[11:42] albertlr Landar: well I hope no one is having to face the fires in CA and Oregon right now.
[11:42] Caro Fayray: horrendous yes
[11:42] albertlr Landar: Really getting very ugly out there.
[11:42] albertlr Landar: I have a brother that lives on top of one of the Mountains out there.
[11:42] Caro Fayray: hes safe?
[11:42] albertlr Landar: He volunteers to man a look out tower.
[11:43] albertlr Landar: Says there is smoke all around, but no threat to his mountain so far.
[11:43] Caro Fayray: dreadful
[11:43] albertlr Landar: But they have closed the tower and park on the mountain for the rest of the year to be safe.
[11:43] Caro Fayray: and so many breathing problems
[11:43] Caro Fayray: good
[11:43] albertlr Landar: well on top of that he called me says he has a kidney stone.
[11:44] albertlr Landar: so giving him advice till he can get to a doctor.
[11:44] Caro Fayray: oh ouch:(
[11:44] albertlr Landar: I average one ever two years, so a veteran for them.
[11:45] albertlr Landar: But at least all we have gotten here on the East Coast is rain, and some wind.
[11:45] albertlr Landar: And I hope everyone has gotten their flu shot for this year.
[11:45] Caro Fayray: better than fires
[11:45] Caro Fayray: im getting mine in a week;)
[11:45] albertlr Landar: my whole house got theres.
[11:46] albertlr Landar: Kroger now has a web site where you can schedule your shots for anything.
[11:46] albertlr Landar: Flu, shingles, etc.
[11:46] Caro Fayray: we get them free form our doctor
[11:47] albertlr Landar: I don't think I have gotten a shot from my doctor in about 20 years.
[11:47] albertlr Landar: Always just get them at the pharmacy now.
[11:47] Caro Fayray: they send me reminders
[11:48] albertlr Landar: well hope your neighbors are now using masks because it looks those will be around for a while now.
[11:48] albertlr Landar: They finally issued mandatory requires now in Georgia,
[11:48] albertlr Landar: No mask no servie.
[11:48] albertlr Landar: service.
[11:49] albertlr Landar: my nephew witnessed a woman just having a fit when she tried to enter Kroger without a mask, and they would not let her in.
[11:50] albertlr Landar: She called the police, and they told her sorry you have to wear a mask.
[11:50] albertlr Landar: So she stormed off and said well I will just go to Walmart. Who also have mandatory masks required.
[11:51] albertlr Landar: some people just don't get it.
[11:52] albertlr Landar: well I see that there will be live performances at Event Plaza at 12 noon.
[11:52] albertlr Landar: LaNani Sundara: TODAY :) On OSGrid, we happily promote and ask your attention for a LIVE performance by Clan Escotia. At NOON grid time :) Where? At the new special stage at Event Plaza. YOu are most welcome to come join us. hop://login.osgrid.org/Event%20Plaza/128/128/0
See you there :)
[11:53] albertlr Landar: Well I guess we can disband a little early today, as its so slow.
[11:53] albertlr Landar: Anyone have anything else they would like to bring up.
[11:54] steevithak x: I was wondering who maintains the osgrid website?
[11:54] albertlr Landar: Best talk with Dan at this point, he does have someone that can make changes.
[11:54] steevithak x: Ok, cool, thanks
[11:55] albertlr Landar: And you can either catch him on like or send an email or Im to him.
[11:55] albertlr Landar: well guess I should get food for the Dog and me.
[11:56] albertlr Landar: Thanks for coming everyone, take care and stay safe.
