[11:03] snakedance moonwing2: is there something about animated mesh
[11:03] snakedance moonwing2: that needs something in ini to work

[11:04] snakedance moonwing2: lol
[11:04] Foxx Bode: wont work at all. That code isn't in there
[11:04] snakedance moonwing2: i guess i'll have to do an update :P

[11:04] Foxx Bode: ya
[11:07] snakedance moonwing2: its ok i have to relearn all this anyways :)
[11:07] Jagga Meredith: eveerything I rez defaults to "touch". Is there a way of changing it to "none"?
[11:07] Jagga Meredith: i'm on firestorm
[11:08] albertlr Landar: hum that sounds like viewer setting may need to talk with the FS people about that.
[11:09] Foxx Bode: idk either, thats idd viewer
[11:09] snakedance moonwing2: wouldn't it i be in build where you set prims to sell and copy
[11:09] snakedance moonwing2: touch is there too?
[11:09] Foxx Bode: programmers use " sane defaults " typically :)
[11:10] snakedance moonwing2: thats ironic :D
[11:10] Jagga Meredith: it's even things I drag out of inventory
[11:10] albertlr Landar: well logically in the rl you should be able to touch everything in front of you.
[11:11] snakedance moonwing2: i agree but i always get kicked out of the male locker room :(
[11:11] snakedance moonwing2: :P
[11:12] albertlr Landar: did not know we had any male locker rooms anywhere.
[11:12] snakedance moonwing2: irl
[11:12] snakedance moonwing2: i was making a joke
[11:12] albertlr Landar: or
[11:12] albertlr Landar: oh

[11:12] albertlr Landar: got it
[11:12] snakedance moonwing2: and locker room full of hot mens hehehe
[11:13] albertlr Landar: if you say so.
[11:14] albertlr Landar: so was looking over the articles that have been put up on Hypergrid Business this past Dec. and Jan.
[11:14] albertlr Landar: Was interesting to see that Kitely and Osgrid had the most new users during the past year.
[11:15] snakedance moonwing2: oh i see
[11:15] Jagga Meredith: you may have gotten a bump from Great Canadian self-destructing
[11:15] albertlr Landar: And Osgrid was tops in Average visitors during the year.
[11:15] albertlr Landar: Thats true, any improvement in their situation.
[11:16] snakedance moonwing2: i not hear anything
[11:16] Jagga Meredith: still down, but looks like they've got the servers back up
[11:16] snakedance moonwing2: ~** HELLO!! **~
[11:16] snakedance moonwing2: wizzypoo
[11:16] albertlr Landar: Hello Wizard, greetings.

[11:16] Foxx Bode: -*- HeLlO-*-
[11:16] Jagga Meredith: he keeps saying another 3 weeks (every 3 weeks)
[11:16] snakedance moonwing2: lol
[11:16] albertlr Landar: https://www.hypergridbusiness.com/2020/ ... rid-stats/
[11:17] albertlr Landar: Article about years averages.
[11:17] snakedance moonwing2: ~** HELLO!! **~
[11:17] snakedance moonwing2: cronos
[11:17] snakedance moonwing2: rachel
[11:17] rachel rose: ℋїїїї ㋡
[11:17] HEGCronos ROTG: hi:)
[11:17] rachel rose: ℋїїїї ㋡ everyone
[11:17] albertlr Landar: Hi HEGCronos
[11:18] albertlr Landar: And Rachel
[11:18] HEGCronos ROTG: hi
[11:18] rachel rose: hiyas
[11:18] Foxx Bode: -*- HeLlO-*-
[11:19] Jagga Meredith: Did OSgrid have a reboot a couple of days ago? The regions around me crashed hard.
[11:19] Jagga Meredith: I swear I had nothing to do with it
[11:19] albertlr Landar: well just checked on Great Canadian Grids GoFundMe page, and its not there any more. Not a good sign.
[11:19] snakedance moonwing2: im canadian and i never had an account there lol
[11:19] snakedance moonwing2: never had*
[11:19] rachel rose: I believe there has been a great scandal about the Canadian Grid, but no one told me specifics.
[11:20] Jagga Meredith: long stupid story
[11:20] rachel rose: Haven't been around much to hear the gossip ~ ⓛⓞⓛ ~
[11:20] snakedance moonwing2: i forget, some immoral unethical hosting company shagged things up?
[11:20] Jagga Meredith: ask me offline if you want
[11:20] albertlr Landar: They usually do a reboot on a regular basis Jagga
[11:20] rachel rose: how can I ask you if I am offline :P
[11:20] snakedance moonwing2: lol
[11:21] Jagga Meredith: err, meant IM
[11:21] albertlr Landar: https://www.hypergridbusiness.com/2019/ ... dian-grid/
[11:21] albertlr Landar: Yea, if one can make much of this.
[11:21] Jagga Meredith: yeah, but one side runs hypergrid business so take that with a grain of salt
[11:22] Jagga Meredith: there's lots of blame on both sides - high school drama stuff
[11:22] snakedance moonwing2: meh not my circus not my monkeys :)
[11:22] albertlr Landar: Best not try to get too involved in this I guess.
[11:22] Jagga Meredith: agreed, and I'm involved
[11:22] albertlr Landar: But hopefully people will find places else where to continue their opensim uses.
[11:23] Jagga Meredith: like here?
[11:23] albertlr Landar: yea, we always welcome anyone that needs a place to call their home.
[11:23] HEGCronos ROTG: some grids come and some goes lol
[11:23] Jagga Meredith: I"m a GCG refugee and I brought a bunch of people with me
[11:23] Jagga Meredith: mostly for the stability
[11:24] snakedance moonwing2: i visited gcg once to see the tim hortons :D
[11:24] rachel rose: I hope you like it here :)
[11:24] HEGCronos ROTG: lol the grid i use to be on was eros resort opensim
[11:24] albertlr Landar: Basically OSgrid was started to help expand the use of Opensim, as a test bed, and has gradually become the largest and first place for people coming to opensim to start.
[11:24] rachel rose: I loved gcg, I had an account there too
[11:26] George Equus is Online
[11:27] Foxx Bode: -*- HeLlO-*-
[11:27] George Equus: Evening all. Sorry I am late.
[11:27] albertlr Landar: Greetings George
[11:28] snakedance moonwing2: ~** HELLO!! **~
[11:29] albertlr Landar: http://downloads.infinitemetaverse.org/ ... s/versions
[11:30] albertlr Landar: That is the latest release of the scenegate viewer
[11:30] albertlr Landar: Seems they are up to version 1.o.o now
[11:30] Jagga Meredith: what are its advantages?
[11:30] albertlr Landar: Well its a version of FS, but is simplified. You can turn on all the hidden things in the settings however.
[11:31] Jagga Meredith: interesting
[11:31] albertlr Landar: To make it easier for a new user to experience opensim.
[11:31] HEGCronos ROTG: can u like upload html files on it or not?
[11:31] albertlr Landar: Also to help the handicapped use it easier.
[11:32] albertlr Landar: I would read some of the release notes and what plans they have for it.
[11:33] snakedance moonwing2: i never hear tell of scenegate viewer :)
[11:33] albertlr Landar: The early beta I had tried back in December, seemed to have some problems with scripts. Hopefully this is fixed.
[11:33] albertlr Landar: Well it is being developed by a developer, and they are putting some money into it, I understand.
[11:33] snakedance moonwing2: oh i see
[11:34] albertlr Landar: It was announced at the Opensim Community Conference in Dec.
[11:34] snakedance moonwing2: so i was probably napping then :P
[11:34] albertlr Landar: http://infinitemetaverse.com/news-and-events/ima-blog
[11:34] albertlr Landar: more info about it.
[11:34] snakedance moonwing2: that gets boring for a laymen civilian such as myself :D
[11:35] snakedance moonwing2: never understand what the talking about :D
[11:36] Jagga Meredith: snakedance it's ok. 3 things you never want to watch being made: sausage, software and law
[11:36] Azi Az is Offline
[11:36] snakedance moonwing2: lol
[11:36] albertlr Landar: well FS is a good viewer, but for some people it is too complicated. So they decided to work on a less complicated viewer.
[11:36] albertlr Landar: But as I said you can still turn everything back on, in the settings.
[11:36] snakedance moonwing2: personally i'll always be an imprudence girl at heart :)
[11:37] albertlr Landar: well I think that singularity was made from that one.
[11:37] snakedance moonwing2: perhaps so
[11:37] albertlr Landar: and they have been updating singularity also.
[11:37] albertlr Landar: I am using their newest beta now.
[11:37] albertlr Landar: it seems stable
[11:37] snakedance moonwing2: me too and my neck stretches when i remove something :)
[11:38] albertlr Landar: you using mesh?
[11:38] snakedance moonwing2: i have some mesh on me
[11:38] Jagga Meredith: I found the font size so small I couldn't read it
[11:38] snakedance moonwing2: the hat, the robes
[11:38] snakedance moonwing2: my avatars is regular old school
[11:38] albertlr Landar: well you should be able to change those.
[11:38] snakedance moonwing2: and my wings is prims :D
[11:40] albertlr Landar: well looks like the viewers should all support using regular prim items on mesh bodies soon
[11:41] snakedance moonwing2: tryign to fit mesh clothes is terrible :)
[11:41] albertlr Landar: thats coming down the development cycle soon.
[11:42] Azi Az is Online
[11:44] Jagga Meredith: if you mean that burn on mesh or whatever it's called in the latest firestorm, it's awful
[11:44] albertlr Landar: well I would expect its going to take a while to get the bugs worked out on it.
[11:46] albertlr Landar: And meanwhile the Dayturn Viewer is progressing too, and has a Mac version available too.
[11:46] albertlr Landar: https://www.dayturn.com/viewer/index.php?resources/
[11:46] Jagga Meredith: oh kewl
[11:47] govega sachertorte is Offline
[11:47] Jagga Meredith: so why all the development? how many people are actually in world to make this profitable or whatever?
[11:48] albertlr Landar: well I think if you visit second life you will find a lot of development there is stagnant.
[11:48] Jagga Meredith: I've got my own theories but they're pretty "out there".
[11:48] Jagga Meredith: SL is deads town
[11:49] albertlr Landar: Opensim has always been in development since it was first broken off from Second Life.
[11:49] albertlr Landar: We have had slow times, and faster times, but a lot of innovations are now in opensim that is not on Second Life.
[11:50] Jagga Meredith: such as....
[11:50] albertlr Landar: Its a on going thing, just part of how opensim works.
[11:50] albertlr Landar: Hypergrid for one.
[11:50] albertlr Landar: NPC's
[11:50] albertlr Landar: And now Dreamworlds is working on making Grid wide searches functioning.
[11:50] albertlr Landar: Dreamworlds
[11:51] albertlr Landar: https://www.hypergridbusiness.com/2019/ ... -function/
[11:51] albertlr Landar: Because opensim is open source anyone can make changes and advances.
[11:52] Jagga Meredith: yeah, I keep meaning to DL the code and have a look
[11:52] albertlr Landar: Dreamworlds is a very easy and faster way of setting up you own grid or sim.
[11:53] Jagga Meredith: I"m a retired tech. Need some code to eat
[11:53] albertlr Landar: well you can always jump into a project that interest you.
[11:54] albertlr Landar: they welcome contributed code to opensim all the time.
[11:54] HEGCronos ROTG: ok got to go lol catch u all laters
[11:54] Foxx Bode: *-* ByE *-*
[11:54] albertlr Landar: one of the things they have been doing is removing a lot of old unused code bronght over from SL.
[11:55] albertlr Landar: Ok bye
[11:55] albertlr Landar: take care.
[11:55] Jagga Meredith: there's an idea
[11:55] albertlr Landar: making it less bulky.
[11:55] Jagga Meredith: yep
[11:55] Jagga Meredith: I've been watching stuff disappear from the functions list
[11:56] albertlr Landar: For instance the Scripting Engine, XEngine is being replaced by YEngine, which Kayaker Magic has told us is far superior to the old script engine.
[11:56] albertlr Landar: Because it supports more things from Second Life than the Xengine did.
[11:57] albertlr Landar: Plus it is better behaved, and follows stricter scripting rules better.
[11:57] albertlr Landar: Anyone running opensim now can run the YEngine, by setting it as the default in their ini file.
[11:58] Jagga Meredith: kewl
[11:58] albertlr Landar: It was contributed to the opensim project by Melanie.
[11:58] albertlr Landar: Another developer.
[11:58] Cuteulala Artis is Offline
[11:59] albertlr Landar: Well I see we are getting close to 12 Noon. Want to thank everyone for coming this week.
[11:59] Cuteulala Artis is Online
[11:59] albertlr Landar: I have to let my dog out, or else he will harass me soon.
[11:59] rachel rose: ~ ⓛⓞⓛ ~
[12:00] rachel rose: ♥
[12:00] albertlr Landar: So Will will say good bye for this week to you all.
[12:00] George Equus: Thanks Albert.
[12:00] rachel rose: see ya albertIl
[12:00] snakedance moonwing2: bye bye alberts
[12:00] Foxx Bode: *-* ByE *-*
