Hi again!
I've got an npc rezzer containing a notecard with the information of the npc's appearance.
The npc rezzed has an attached object which contains a script.
This script automatically sends a message to any player near the npc.

I would like to delete the script from the object so that no message is sent.
If I try to edit the object on the npc by right-clicking the object,
only the avatar tools ("send message to avatar" etc.) are available but not the object edit tools.

Is there any way to edit the npc / the scripted object in that way?

Thank you very much in advance.

Hello, welcome back :)

to make this modification you have to create a new npc noterard with the object without the script in it.
If you modify directly the object, it will affect only this npc but not all others that will be created.
Eventually the script could be with the rezzer script. This depends on the desired operation.

NPC's are created from an xml file. The part of the file that controls attachments starts at <key>attachments</key>. Each attachment is defined by a map entry; each map entry contains a <point> entry which contains an <integer> entry. This is the number of the attachment point. The map entry also contains <item> and <asset> entries which are the uuids of the actual attachment and the associated asset data store entry.

You can manipulate NPC attachments by adding and removing entire sections of the file between <map> and </map>, but first you have to find out which attachment point the attachment is using.

Thank you very much for your help.
Using your suggestions, I have been able to find the particular attachment now, however I could not delete the script within that attachment.
But I also found that that script is non-edit, which might have to do with the problem.

If you have more ideas of how to delete that particular script, let me know.
Otherwise, I'll just try to rebuild the appearance notecard of the npc using a clone script.
Thanks again!
