I can't figure out how this works, any help would be gladly appreciated.

There is this --home option, and also -c for IARs

What exactly do I need to specify to have the creator field in object properties show up as firstname.lastname @hg.osgrid.org:80 so it resolves to a clickable profile, even when I loaded the archive in another grid?

This is what I tried for IARs but I must be doing something wrong:

save iar --home=http://hg.osgrid.org:80/ Firstname Lastname /testfolder password /home/opensim/test.iar -c -v

and

save oar --home=http://hg.osgrid.org:80/ /home/opensim/test.oar

Is this correct? Is that trailing slash needed for --home? What about the http:// prefix?

Or should it be the profile server (which is I guess http://services.osgrid.org:80 in the ini file) which they talk about here http://opensimulator.org/wiki/Inventory_Archives?

Nvm I figured it out you indeed use http://services.osgrid.org:

save iar --home=http://services.osgrid.org Firstname Lastname /testfolder password /home/opensim/test.iar -c -v

Result is that after loading the iar in another grid, the creator on those objects will be not the local similarly named alt but the "foreign" Firstname Lastname @hg.osgrid.org:80 and it will open that osgrid profile when clicked. Exactly what I wanted :)
