I am so used to the old system where when you typed "shutdown" in your console window, it would actually shut everything down THEN exit from that window!

Is this an ongoing bug or is this ever going to be fixed as it is irritating to manually purge the script folder (so the scripts can be used upon restart), not to mention having to bring up CONTROL-ALT-DELETE to kill the process!
:/

I just tried shutdown on my stand alone and it worked. Running Windows 7 here.

Yeah I am referring to OSGrid software, not standalone.

I am using the OSGrid version on my stand alone. I just tried it with the latest release on one of my OSGrid regions and it worked as well.

I have found my region occasionally will not shutdown, or hangs after taking the command. I am running on Ubuntu Unix and I think this is due to lack of memory. You can always kill the process with task manager.

I doubt that lack of memory is a factor as I have 16 gigs and it shows up almost every time. Whatever variance that causes a normal shutdown is not clear either as this issue happens when it is the only function running or with others simultaneously.

I would also point out that this issue is rather specific to the OSG build - Diva doesn't do this.
